In the Lead (Pb) alloy Bushings and Terminals moulds design, KYLT Mould engineer should consider the how to arrange nozzle position, runners, injection gates (positions) to guarantee to get good casting parts, suitable cavities quantities, easy release from mould cavites and keep the parts have good surface etc.
Most time, like plastic injection parts we don't make injection positions on parts appearance surface to keep the parts have a good look.
But some times, the PB. bushings and termeinals structure make the injection only can do on parts surface.
Very lucky, KYLT also design small and easy to cut off, that guarantee the parts surface always look good.
Here is the lead acid battery terminals mould injection diagram show:
Above Lead terminals required must have 2cavites, and have many holes and structures should be made by insert core in mould, So, the engineer design the injection gates on parts surface.
This PB terminals holes and structures also need made by insert core in mould, but the insert cores not affect mould release by 4cavities and can design the injection gates on non-apperance surfaces.
Following show some our ideas in normal bushings and terminals design:
The bushings and terminals 3D photos black area will be set injection position.
The injection gate is a slot or points, KYLT will choose the suitable position in black area(upper edge, middle, bottom edge or other) And the wideth of gate also be adjusted as per casting demand.
This Bushing black area will be set injection position. Red marked line is the injection gate. The wideth of gate also be adjusted as per casting demand.
This lead terminal bolt is not cast together with the PB part, the black area will be set injection position.
For this parts, we have two plans:
Plan A:Red (upper edge, middle, bottom edge or other) choose one line to set injection position.
Plan B:Yellow(upper edge, middle or other) choose one line to set injection position.
The mold maker will choose the best way to make mould.
For all Lead bushings or terminals, the injection gates be designed a slots, that is easy for separate parts pieces off.
